Commercial Real Estate is primarily made up of Office Properties, Industrial Properties, Retail properties, and Multi-Family Properties.

Office Properties are used by professionals or businesses and can be categorized into high rise (26+ floors), medium rise(7-25 floors) & low rise (1-6 floors). Additionally, office properties are classified as Class A, B, or C. Class A properties 1) are in the most desirable locations, 2) have the most modern features, and 3) cost the most.

Industrial Properties are primarily used by manufacturing and warehousing operations. There are many type of industrial properties including bulk, office/warehouse, office/service, multi-tenant, freestanding,  R&D, and industrial parks.

Retail Properties are primarily used by business the sell goods and services to consumers. Types of Retail Properties including Regional Malls, Shopping Centers, Commercial Strip properties and single-building properties

Multi-Family Properties are large apartment buildings with 60+ units.

Additional commercial real estate properties that may not necessarily fall into the above categories include the following: Hotels & Motels, Raw Land, Health Care Facilities, and Sports & Entertainment facilities.
